Rebecca Rankin (00:18):
Welcome to the first episode of the women's moon wisdom podcast with me, Rebecca Rankin. So I'm working with a little bit of a growth edge here in starting this podcast. So you know how, when you get those ideas, that sound so great in your mind, and then you sit with them, and you sit with them? And those ideas, those dreams and desires, they start to nag at you until you either just do it already, or you write it off and you tell yourself some silly excuse of why you couldn't possibly do that. And who are you to create or do that thing. So clearly you can see what I chose. You can see that I chose the former and decided that the nagging of this idea of this podcast was enough to just do it already. So with starting any new project, it's a bit messy, right?
Rebecca Rankin (01:19):
I think we can all honor that whatever creative endeavor that you're starting or whatever it looks like, it's a bit messy. It's a bit scattered. And sometimes it's not until down the line when you're further in, and you're doing the work that the true vision of it all comes through. You can have a little bit more clarity and in a way, you gain clarity in the doing and by diving in and doing, and creating and just being in part of the process, you can see what is happening. Rather than being on the sideline of your dream and just wishing to somehow be a part of it, but not really sure where your entry point is. So in a way, I am allowing these first episodes, or maybe all the episodes of this podcast to be raw.
Rebecca Rankin (02:17):
To be messy and imperfect, just so I'm no longer holding myself back. Have you ever felt just incapable of moving forward with an idea, a desire or a dream, because you recognize all the steps that need to happen in order to accomplish X, Y, Z? It can be really hold you back when you take a step back and you ask yourself, 'where do I even begin?' What even needs to happen to create this thing? And how do I get to there? How do I get to where I want to be from where I am here? And of course it's often just a really simple answer - begin. Just, just do it already. Or at least this is my process in starting this podcast. I was reviewing, okay, what do I need to do?
Rebecca Rankin (03:19):
What are all the elements? And then, and honestly, today I just sat down and said, you know, I'm just gonna record my first episode. And here we go. it's like that saying, I'm terrible with sayings, so you'll probably get to know me after a while. I butcher them. But it's like the saying, "how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time". So here I am, one bite at a time, one step in front of the other, creating this new podcast and this new way to be of service, to more women to share insight, to inspire, to empower us to feel a deeper connection to our true self, our true nature. So there's also a part of me in starting this podcast of, well, why not, why not create it.
Rebecca Rankin (04:21):
So the messiness of this first episode, the rawness starting a new project. But I, I'm looking forward to, to having this space to cultivate a community. And my hope is, and my intention in starting this podcast is that it's a space where you, you will feel inspired by your female biochemistry and maybe even learn a little bit more about leaning into it with a term that's called cyclical living. So here you'll learn some tips on how to live in sync with your cycle rather than feel burdened by it. And, and I'll share tips on green living and how to do it on a budget, my favorite things. And also just it boils down to deepening our relationship with ourself. And when we deepen that relationship with ourself, we improve that relationship with our true self.
Rebecca Rankin (05:26):
And when we improve our relationship with self, the relationship with those around us improves. Our relationship with our community improves and it comes full circle. Our relationship with the earth improves. When we start to see the cues from nature within ourselves, and then we see our own cyclical nature reflected back in nature. It's inspiring. And it allows us to just feel a little bit more connected to everyone and everything. So I'm so thankful that you are here, that you are listening. I'm thankful to be part of your day and feel free to follow the women's moon wisdom podcast for all the latest episodes as they start to roll out and feel free to share it with your friends, your friends with female biochemistry that could use a little boost or need to feel supported and heard. Share it with your friends too. Enjoy your day. And I'll talk to you all soon.
